Meet Mohamed Eltobgy

Mohamed is currently a social work intern with a background in mass media and communications. He is a student at Walden University and will graduate in 2026. He is interested in providing mental health therapy and group education. He is currently working on obtaining licensure as a clinical social worker and certification in couples' therapy.

During his academic journey, Mohamed developed a keen interest in the dynamics of relationships and the importance of mental health support within families. He has engaged in various volunteer opportunities that have provided valuable insights into the challenges individuals and couples encounter navigating their emotional landscapes. This experience has solidified his commitment to facilitating healing through therapy. In addition to individual counseling, Mohamed is particularly interested in group education programs concentrated on marriage and couple support to empower couples with tools and strategies that enhance their interpersonal skills and strengthen their bonds. Mohamed's training involves understanding different therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and systems theory, and he is actively working toward his Level One Gottman Institute certification and aspirations of becoming a licensed Independent clinical social worker (LICSW) to positively impact the lives of individuals, couples, and families seeking support.

He will be joining the Wise Minds team in the near future.

Treat Your Depression & Anxiety

Do you wake up each day thinking that you wish you lived a different life, a more fulfilling life, but your mental health gets in the way? You have ongoing chronic depression and debilitating anxiety that seems to be getting worse everyday. You feel trapped and you don’t know what to do. You don’t feel loved, you don’t feel safe, you don’t feel secure. Then you resort to self soothing habits that are actually unhealthy, which makes things worse.

You feel like your anxiety controls you. You are stuck thinking about the past and worrying about the future. You want so much to change the past and control the outcome of the future. You don’t feel in control. This is the most frustrating issue for you. You don’t feel in control. These feelings lead to more depression, lack of restful sleep, poor nutrient intake, and low self-esteem. You are lacking healthy coping skills and it shows. It feels overwhelming not knowing the right things to do.

What keeps you up all night is the worrying, the overthinking, the rumination, the negative self-talk, self-blame, anxiety, thoughts of inadequacy, thinking of things that should have happened, and thinking about bad things that might happen.

Soon, you will realize that your depression and anxiety are affecting your job performance, the cleanliness of your house, and the quality of your life. Your health is deteriorating and passion for life is close to non-existent. But what is the root cause of depression and anxiety?

  • Unresolved stress.

  • Unresolved trauma.

  • Unresolved conflicts.

  • Unresolved grief.

So what do you want more than anything else? You want to live a fulfilling life without your mental health problems getting in the way. The journey to get there starts by asking for professional help and starting treatment. Make yourself and your mental health a priority. The worst thing you can do to yourself is doing nothing AT ALL. The cost of doing nothing is: your job, your friendships, your family relationships, your health, your future, your dreams, your goals. This is the biggest mistake you can make.

You gotta do the work. You gotta change those unhealthy habits. You gotta start making lifestyle changes in order to take charge of your mental health.

I understand you more than you know. I have been in your shoes. I struggled immensely with depression and anxiety in the past. I know how hard it is to ask for help. What has helped me get to today is a lot of self-reflection, time outside with nature, soft music, motivational speeches and healing words to gain courage and strength. I set life-changing goals, and I imagined a brighter future that I wanted for myself. It took a lot of work, but I tell you, it was worth it.

I want to help get you where you want to go. I want to be part of your healing journey towards mental health wellness. I understand it’s scary meeting a new provider, but I can be trustworthy. I am here to help you create goals and do my best to help you achieve them. I know that previous experiences with prior mental health providers and medications have not been effective, but I will work with you to find alternative solutions. I will do my best to make you feel heard and take every concern that you have into consideration within reason. All that I ask is that you work with me and meet me half-way. I have years of experience in the mental health field, and my services are affordable, accessible, and reliable.

I want you to feel that there is hope towards healing and wellness. I want you to think that each visit is a step towards that. I want you to feel that there is progress being made, no matter how long it takes. I want you to feel open to seeing me with me as your mental health provider.
